i just felt like writing this story down before bed:
the other night while waiting to get into the Stephin Merritt shindig, someone called craig's mom's cellphone (he had it on him that night). it was a girl, and she said, "hi, it's dana, is milli there?" and he looked at me, confused, and said, "do you know a dana?" i didn't, and we spent a good minute really confused as to what was happening and how this person i didn't know was calling me on craig's mom's cellphone. turns out that she was trying to reach her GIRL friend milli and had the wrong number. craig explained to her that he has a guy friend named matt milligan but they call him milli and thought that was who she was looking for and we all had a good laugh. it was just such a strange coincidence. what are the odds of that? i'd really like to know.
alright, just wanted to document that tale is all. i've potentially got 12 hours of recording work tomorrow so i should get some sleep.
